Food Trucks in Chesterfield Valley Thursday

The new movie “Seeking a Friend for the End of the World,” starring Steve Carell and Keira Knightley, opens Friday, 6/22.

On Thursday, 6/21, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., just before an advance screening of the film, an “End of the World” party will be held in the Galaxy theater parking lot in Chesterfield Valley. On hand will be six St. Louis area food trucks: The Sausage Syndicate, Zia’s on the Hill Italian, The Meltdown, Papa Tom’s Fancy Franks, Feed Me Bahn Mi, and The Sweet Divine.

Along with your “last meal” from the food trucks, there will be a DJ and giveaways. Presumably, giveaways will include passes to the screening and assorted movie swag. See you there!

Adam Perry Lang Comes To St. Louis

Adam Perry Lang is promoting his new book Charred and Scruffed with a visit to St. Louis on Friday, June 15. I have been invited to conduct a chat with him at Left Bank Books, 321 N. 10th Street, at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening.

This free event provides a great opportunity for you to see and hear Adam in person and ask him anything you wish about his new grilling techniques and about his spackles, bastes and finishing salts.

His book will be available for purchase and he will sign a copy for you. You may want to buy an extra copy for your father for Father’s Day!

See you Friday night at Left Bank Books!

You can listen to my interview with Adam Perry Lang, which aired on the 6/9/12 Food Talk STL show, by clicking HERE.
