NO Food Talk STL show on September 15

The University of Illinois football game starts early this weekend, so we will not be on the air this Saturday. We knew when we began the show that there might be some preemptions along the way.

Food Talk STL will be back on the air on Saturday, September 22.

In the meantime, listen to some of our previous segments by clicking on the “Past Shows” tab at the top of this page.

A Big THANK YOU!

Actually, two big THANK YOU’s. No, three.

1. Thank you for listening to the show. Even if you just catch part of it. Remember that you can click on the “past shows” tab at the top of this page to hear what you have missed.

2. Thanks to our advertisers who are looking to reach listeners who like to eat and drink and do have disposable income to spend on restaurants, bars, beer/wine/spirits, specialty food stores, kitchenware and kitchen appliances. Without your support, we would not be here.

3. Thanks, especially, to all the folks who have appeared as guests on the show. Your insight and your good will are appreciated!

At the six months mark in the evolution of Food Talk STL, I can truly say that I have learned a lot about food and drink and St. Louis. I think that I have transitioned from a music jock to a talk host without too many rough spots.

Again, thanks for listening!

Food Trucks in Chesterfield Valley Thursday

The new movie “Seeking a Friend for the End of the World,” starring Steve Carell and Keira Knightley, opens Friday, 6/22.

On Thursday, 6/21, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., just before an advance screening of the film, an “End of the World” party will be held in the Galaxy theater parking lot in Chesterfield Valley. On hand will be six St. Louis area food trucks: The Sausage Syndicate, Zia’s on the Hill Italian, The Meltdown, Papa Tom’s Fancy Franks, Feed Me Bahn Mi, and The Sweet Divine.

Along with your “last meal” from the food trucks, there will be a DJ and giveaways. Presumably, giveaways will include passes to the screening and assorted movie swag. See you there!
